It has been a lot of back and forth for several years about a potential update of the Ingame User Interface, and finally it is time for the Entropia UI Update!
This update will bring a huge number of great improvements to usability, performance, and the visual style which is now unified across the board.
Most Notable Changes in the Entropia UI Update
The UI system is completely overhauled, and a lot of work has been put into enhancing and improving all over. And while you will notice those changes everywhere, here is a list of some of the most notable changes.
Action Bars - The new Action Bars are replacing the dashboard icons, giving the players a much more streamlined and intuitive system which is more similar to what you will find in modern games. It is easier to use, leans, and understand, especially for new players. Users can assign icons to a maximum of 5 Action Bars, each with three pages, where each page holds 10 actions, allowing a total of 150 assignable actions. With the new keyboard modifiers (CTRL and SHIFT) it is also possible to have many more keybinds than before.
Performance Optimization - All UIs have been reviewed and optimized, providing a smoother Entropia Experience.
Unified Design - Gone are the days of randomly colored windows of different designs, some even from the 90s or 00s. The new UI is unified, consistent, and adheres to modern standards.
Improved HUD - Reduced clutter and modernized according to what you expect to find in a game today.
Overall QoL - Redundant elements have been removed, windows have been resized to fit the needs better, the chat has been improved with transparency settings
Many settings, including keybinds and UI positioning, will be reset with the update. To make sure that the players have time to get used to the new UI before any larger event, the preliminary release date is set to February 20, 2024.
